Come Sail Italy with Us!
We are SO excited to announce our first sailing adventure in Italy, and what a debut it will be. Picture sailing through the shimmering turquoise waters of the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius on the horizon, pastel-colored fishing villages reflected in the harbor, and the unmistakable scent of lemon groves drifting across the water. This is Italy the way it was meant to be experienced, from the sea.
Our 7-day trip departs from the island of Procida, Italy's 2022 Capital of Culture, and takes us island-hopping through some of the most breathtaking and storied waters in the Mediterranean. Whether we're anchoring in a remote uninhabited grotto or tying up in a glamorous harbor town, every stop is a postcard come to life.
This isn't a cruise ship experience, it's a boutique sailing adventure for a small group of curious, fun-loving travelers who want to taste the real Italy. Our all female professional crew will take care of you every step of the way, and as always, friendships form fast and memories last forever. We can't wait to share this one with you!
WHERE WE’LL GO
Our home base is Procida, a small volcanic island in the Bay of Naples that is, frankly, one of the most beautiful places to anchor. From there, our route takes us through the spectacular Phlegraean and Pontine island groups and along the legendary Amalfi Coast. These are some of the most storied sailing waters in the Mediterranean, and every passage reveals something new.
Depending on conditions, our week will include a mix of the following destinations: Ischia, Capri, Sorrento, Nerano, Amalfi, Ventotene Island, and more.
A note on our route: The final itinerary will be shaped by wind, weather, and the rhythm of the trip — which is exactly how it should be. Our Captain will make all routing decisions with safety, comfort, and your best experience in mind.
WHAT WE’LL DO
No two days on this trip will look exactly the same . Sailing passages are short and scenic (typically 2 to 4 hours), leaving the bulk of each day open for whatever calls to you: a long swim off the stern, a slow wander through a hillside village, a two-hour lunch at a harbor trattoria, or simply sitting in the cockpit with a glass of wine and watching the coastline go by.
Depending on our route, you might find yourself soaking in Ischia's volcanic hot springs, drifting into the luminous blue cave of Capri's famous grotto, snorkeling over colorful reefs in a hidden bay accessible only by sea, or exploring Roman ruins and medieval castles on quiet island paths.

Meet Us There
We'll board in Procida, a small island in the Bay of Naples about 30 minutes by ferry from the port of Pozzuoli near Naples or about 40 minutes from Naples Molo Beverello.
On boarding day, October 10 we'll meet at the marina in Procida at 3:00 pm for a welcome orientation, boat walkthrough, and safety briefing before casting off for our first sailing day.
We recommend arriving in Procida the evening of October 9, for our optional pre trip welcome dinner. On the day of departure October 10, we suggest having lunch in one of local restaurants, sightseeing Procida, renting a scooter or eBike, shopping for preferred beverages, and exploring the island before the charter. We will be welcoming you aboard as soon as possible after 3:00 pm depending on the boat check out process.
Our last sailing day wraps up on the evening of October 16, when all boats must return to base by 5:00 pm for debriefing and end-of-charter checks. That night we'll celebrate with a group farewell dinner together, the perfect send-off for an unforgettable week!
On October 17, disembarkation is at 9:00 am. Plan flights out of Naples no earlier than mid-afternoon to allow comfortable time for the ferry crossing and transfer. We recommend booking a hotel in Naples for the night of October 17, if you'd like a relaxed departure day.
We are happy to help you coordinate your travel logistics — just reach out and we'll point you in the right direction!
Tastes of the Amalfi Coast
Southern Italy is one of the greatest food destinations on earth, and we plan to eat well. Breakfast is always served aboard, and from there the day dictates the menu. Some days we'll stumble upon a perfect harborside trattoria and pull up chairs for a long lunch ashore. Other evenings we'll find a local restaurant worth lingering over. And some days, especially when we're anchored somewhere impossibly beautiful every meal will happen right on the boat, with fresh local ingredients and nowhere else we'd rather be.
Aboard, our crew prepares fresh, seasonal meals using local Italian ingredients whenever possible, think fresh bread, ripe tomatoes, local cheeses, grilled fish, and plenty of great olive oil. The mix of meals ashore versus on the boat will vary by day and by what we discover along the way. That flexibility is part of what makes this kind of travel so special, you never quite know which meal will end up being your favorite of the trip.
A note on dietary needs: we will always do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Just let us know when you book!
ACCOMMODATIONS.
We'll be sailing aboard a modern, well-equipped sailboat based out of Procida with The Moorings. Our charter boat sleeps up to 10 guests in shared cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom, comfortable beds, and storage for your gear. The spacious salon, fully equipped galley, and large cockpit with outdoor seating make it easy to gather together, or find your own quiet corner to read and watch the islands go by.
The boat is your home for the week, and it's a beautiful one. Store your soft luggage under your berth, make yourself at home in the saloon, and enjoy the incomparable experience of waking up to a new Italian island every morning.
Is this trip for me?
This trip is ideal for people who love the sea, good food, and connecting with a small, welcoming group of fellow adventurers. You do NOT need any sailing experience , our professional crew handles all of that. Your only job is to enjoy it.
You'll be living aboard with shared cabins (2 people per cabin, same gender unless traveling with a partner). Most sailing passages are 2–4 hours per day. Weather in the Bay of Naples in October averages 68–78°F with mostly sunny skies and light Mediterranean breezes, absolutely ideal sailing weather.
Some boarding and disembarking requires climbing steps or using a dinghy to get ashore. This isn't a cruise ship. Cabins are cozy and comfortable, but compact. Bring a soft duffle bag, hard-sided luggage won't fit. Come ready to be a small part of the crew, help with a line or two, and embrace the Mahalo way: showing up curious, open, and ready for a great adventure!
