COME EXPLORE THE ABACO ISlANDS

We’re headed to the spectacular cruising grounds of the Abacos/Bahamas for Rendezvous #9!  This is a new destination for the Mahalo Sailing Rendezvous and we’re really looking forward to it!  We’ve chartered some big new catamarans from a new to us company, it’s a perfect time of year, a beautiful location and of course, the most fun group of Seasters, anywhere!  What’s not to love?

We board our boats in Marsh Harbour and will explore the area for our week long trip.  So many things to see!  Beach bars, historical sites, beautiful coves and towns, super clear water that invites snorkeling, and of course the always chill Bahamian vibe.  Rum Punch anyone?

MEET US IN THE BAHAMAS!

WHERE WE’LL GO.

We will board in Marsh Harbor and head out to see the sights.  Possible places we may visit include Hope Town with the oldest light house in the Bahamas , Nippers Bar at Guana Cay , beautiful white sandy beach at Treasure Cay, Green Turtle Cay and whatever else we see that we want to explore.

WHAT WE’LL DO

The Rendezvous is famous for connecting friends, new and old, making new memories, sharing fun stories, laughing, fun group parties and great sailing.  If it’s your first time, be prepared to jump in and meet everybody!  You’ll go home with dozens of sailing Seasters from all over the world.

Be ready to laugh, swim, sail, visit small towns and villages, hang out at a beach bar, dine onboard and ashore, laugh, dance on the sand, talk and laugh.  Did we mention that this is super fun?

Want to learn some sailing tips?  Just ask your skipper to include you.

We’re so looking forward to exploring these new cruising grounds with you!

Is this trip for me?

This trip involves limited walking, steps in and out of the boat as well as the dinghy, a ladder to exit the water when swimming, a shared cabin with a person of your same gender, sailing for perhaps 5 hours per day, excursions ashore on foot as well as in cars. You will be living aboard a large sailboat in the tropics with multiple other guests.  The weather will be in the 80s and possible rain.  There is plenty of water, but not unlimited amounts. Don’t count on there being air conditioning onboard.

This is a high end sailing experience but not a cruise ship.  You may be asked to help in the galley, take out the trash, strip your bed at the end of the trip and help loading groceries.  It’s all part of the adventure.  Be ready to be dazzled by the beauty of the area and to make life long friends.
